Lorree was born in Port Moody, British Columbia, and has spent the past 30 years working in the travel and tourism industry.
Over the years, she has had the opportunity to travel abroad to Europe, North and South America, the Caribbean, Alaska, and throughout Canada.
On weekends, she explores the stunning West Coast of British Columbia.
Whether kayaking, hiking, or simply spending time by the water (at the lake or the ocean in my backyard!) she finds peace and joy in nature's beauty.
What is your favorite place in Canada?
My favorite destination in Canada is Tofino during storm season. There’s something magical about the powerful winds shaking the towering old-growth trees and the waves crashing against the shoreline. I love cozying up by the fireplace, listening to the storm's fury outside — it’s a truly unique and peaceful experience.
What is your best travel memory in Canada?
One of my favorite travel memories was aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, traveling from Jasper to Vancouver. From spotting wildlife to taking in the breathtaking mountain scenery and the dramatic beauty of Fraser Canyon, it was an unforgettable experience. The rich history and stories of the first settlers in the area added depth to the journey, making it a trip I will never forget.
What one thing in Canada should you experience at least once in your life?
One of the must-see experiences in Canada is witnessing the Aurora Borealis in Yellowknife. The vibrant, dancing lights of the northern sky are a breathtaking sight and an unforgettable natural wonder. It's definitely on my travel list.
